DO NOT FASTEN OFF YET ON THE BLACK EARS.
Line up the pink ear on top of the black ear and crab stitch them together in the BLO of the pink ear and both loops of the black ear. Make 2 crab stitches in the first and last stitch of the ears.

Insert a pipecleaner at around rnd 5 and continue to crochet around it.

Sewing
Use the 4 pink buttons to sew the arms and legs to the body, make sure to do it so that they are moveable. Sew the ears on the head using pink yarn and make the pink stitches visable. Use pink yarn for the face and stitching.

This is my first time making something like this and I don’t understand how to make the body. It seems like it is worked flat but then how is it connected make the round body? Or am I missing something? Do you happen to have a video or have a recommendation of a video that will help me figure it out.

You are basically starting with a foundation chain and turning it into an oval.
