Use a piece of the purple yarn to add decorative stitching on the top. Tie the two ends in a bow at the back where the beginning/end is uneven. Use pink ribbon to make a bow at the base.

Sewing

Use the tail from the body to sew the tail fin on and weave in any loose ends. Use black yarn to sew the flippers on both sides (weave in any loose ends) and sew the hat onto the head. When sewing the hat, I only sewed a couple of the back loops from rnd 11 onto each side of the head. Use more black embroidery thread(or yarn) to add stitches on the body.

Pin a small piece of tracing paper to the front of the whale and draw a heart however big you want. Cut it out and trace it onto felt (or any fabric you prefer). Cut out your fabric heart and sew it to the front of the whale with black thread.
