Sewing

Pin a piece of tracing paper to your amigurumi piece and draw the shape you want for the fabric that will be sewn on. Repeat this process for one of the ears.
Cut out your tracing paper and fold it in half if you want it symmetrical. Then, fold a piece of paper in half and line up your tracing paper on the fold. Trace your shape onto the paper and cut it out. This way, when you unfold your cut out pattern piece, it should be symmetrical. Repeat this process for the ears.
Trace your pattern onto your fabric and then make another outline around that a little less than half an inch away before cutting it out. Fold the fabric in to your initial lines and iron them flat. For the rounded edges, you may need to fold in and iron little bits at a time and overlap your fabric. Repeat this process for the ears.
Pin your pieces into place and start sewing them on. Backstitch the top of the belly instead of sewing it down so it makes a small pouch and doesn’t fray.

Sew your amigurumi pieces together and insert a pipe cleaner into the ears to make them poseable. Make sure when you sew the arms onto the body, you squish the ends together and sew them on flat.
